A Group of Chongqing Locals

Keeping a Courtyard Alive

I · The Beginning

In Xiahao Lane, time moves slowly, like mist drifting over the river. A group of people born and raised in Chongqing came together with a simple wish: to preserve a place that carries the beauty, warmth, and spirit of this city.
A place with a true Chongqing soul.

II · The Dream

We invited our old friend, Xie Ke, to help bring this vision to life. With a contemporary design language, he worked within the bones of an old residence, gently restoring the everyday warmth and street-side charm of old Chongqing.
What Xie created was not just a scene. It was the home we had always imagined.
By keeping the warmth of the old house alive, we hoped that everyone who walks through the door could feel something familiar — a quiet sense of belonging they may not have felt for a long time.

III · The Taste

And if it is a home, there must be a table filled with steaming dishes.
A true Chongqing family feast.
This is our heartfelt gift — from a group of Chongqing locals to our families, old friends, and every returning guest. We searched across the mountain city, bringing back the flavours hidden deep in our memories, one dish at a time, and placing them on this warm and welcoming table.

IV · The Return

At Shan Shan House, the everyday poetry imagined by Xie Ke and the family feast we carried in our hearts finally meet. Here, in this courtyard, we light the lamps and wait. For the people of the mountain city to come home for a meal.
At Shan Shan House, meet Chongqing again.
